CURRENT POSITION

PhD. University of the Basque Country (2016-2019)

I currently work at TRAGSATEC as a calculation technician for the PRTR-ESMOLINCO project. PhD in Zoology: Biodiversity, Functioning and Management of Ecosystems (7 publications). The thesis was on Molecular Systematics and Taxonomy of the Genus Chondrina (Gastropoda, Pulmonata, Chondrinidae) in the Iberian Peninsula. In 2017 I did a stay at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences where I deepened my knowledge of molecular techniques of transcriptomics and proteogenomics with terrestrial molluscs. In July 2016 I completed a Postgraduate degree at the University of Barcelona on Phylogeny and Genealogy of DNA. Since 2015 I have worked with the scientific research team of the Department of Zoology (UPV/EHU) in various studies with malacological species and mammals. In 2014, I obtained a Leonardo Da Vinci Scholarship in York, England, where I carried out genetic studies with samples of fungi that infect plants of commercial interest (5 publications). I completed my master’s thesis at the Germplasm Bank of the Centre for Environmental Studies in Vitoria, where I worked with previously dried and ultra-frozen seeds of Berula erecta. I am a Laboratory Technician in Chemical Analysis and Control.
