CURRENT POSITION
PhD. University of the Basque Country (2020)
Currently, I work at TRAGSATEC as Technical Coordinator of the ‘PRTR-ESMOLINCO’ Project, whose main objective is to improve the knowledge of the conservation status of molluscs and coastal invertebrates at a national level. Since 2019, I am part of the scientific research team of the Department of Zoology and Animal Cell Biology (UPV/EHU), collaborating in various studies that include work on populations of malacological species. I have a PhD in Microbiology and I have developed my professional career in the study of Microbial Ecology, both in marine ecosystems and with microbial communities in the air. In 2022, I obtained a postdoctoral fellowship that allowed me to stay at the Canary Islands Oceanographic Centre (COC) – Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO-CSIC). During this stay, I participated in oceanographic campaigns to study the transport of microorganisms through air currents and identify how they can potentially affect the microbial diversity of marine ecosystems.
